Why I Started This Site

This site has been a long time in coming. But, thankfully, it is here. The impetus behind its creation is, like life, both simple and complex. Simple, in that I have always felt that telling specific people how, and in what specific ways, they have made a difference in our lives can make a huge difference in theirs. And, it seems to me, though it sometimes happens, it doesn’t happen nearly enough. So I had the idea to create this blog space (actually, I don’t really know anything about modern technology, so I am not sure if “blog space” is the right term…feel free to correct me!) in order to provide a forum in which I, as well as (hopefully) others, can express gratitude for the people who have made an impact on our lives. Complex, in that I had attempted to begin creating this site a few months ago, but was derailed on multiple occasions, sometimes by legitimate interruptions, often by laziness and/or selfishness. But, I hope, all of that is in the past now, and I am sincerely grateful to be stepping into this world and posting expressions of genuine gratitude for others who have made a difference in my life. And, to those of you who have made a difference, I want you to KNOW that you have made a difference. Life is hard. Sometimes it can really refresh us to learn that our labors, far from being in vain, have stuck with, and shaped for the better, the lives of others. And so I invite you to journey along with me on this path of gratitude, and, I hope, for you to be inspired by this blog to express your own gratitude to those who have similarly impacted you.
